About the role:
The Senior Business Partner – Finance provides expert level support and advice to Executive Directors, senior officers across the department and other responsible staff, for the effective and efficient financial management of their budget.
The role is responsible for leading a team of advisors and finance officers in the provision of a specialist consultancy service. It will operate in the context of ensuring the development, implementation and monitoring of budget and financial strategies reflect the critical needs of the department in delivering high quality outcomes.
The role will liaise closely with senior departmental staff in relation to the Division budget and its linkages with Budget internal processes, Estimates Committee process, Department of Treasury and Finance reporting and other financial responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Essential: An appropriate tertiary qualification in accountancy, finance, business management or a relevant discipline.
Desirable: Nil
Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department of Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN-EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the on-line (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO8 $121,107 - $125,679 per annum (1.0FTE), plus superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
