About the Role
The Director, Marketing and Communications provides expert advice to the senior leadership of the Church to promote the Church’s story and strong reputation. The role works to ensure a high visibility of its broad and valuable contribution to faith and broader communities.
As part of a small skilled team the Director oversees the timely, accurate and trustworthy development and delivery content, communication plans and strategies, media liaison and production requirements. And takes a hands-on approach including writing speeches, media releases, articles, and video copy as required.
Through a range of channels and trustworthy platforms the role ensures content is accurate and aligned to the Uniting Church’s strategy and client outcomes.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Parkville, Victoria.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
• Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, media, public relations.
• 5-7 years’ experience in a senior communications role.
• Experience in a role managing a team is essential.
• Experience working at a not-for-profit organization would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will:
• Have a Working with Children Check
• Have the right to work in Australia as a fulltime worker
• Undergo a national Police Check before commencement
