The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NDIS Risk and Compliance Officer to join our growing team. This role is key in safeguarding the integrity, governance, and compliance of HCCS by overseeing risk management frameworks, regulatory obligations, and quality assurance processes.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will also work closely with directors and service delivery managers to ensure HCCS maintains its NDIS registration requirements while supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain risk management frameworks aligned with NDIS Practice Standards.
Monitor the organisational risk register, conduct risk assessments, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Oversee incident management, complaints handling, and reporting processes.
Lead preparation for internal and external audits, coordinating documentation and responses.
Ensure compliance with HCCS policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
Deliver compliance training and education sessions to staff.
Support managers and staff to embed compliance into daily practice.
Provide regular risk and compliance reports to leadership, identifying systemic issues and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
Experience in compliance, risk management, or quality assurance within the disability, aged care, or health sector.
Strong knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework and Practice Standards.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk management frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports and documentation.
Strong relationship management skills, including experience working with regulators and auditors.
Ability to deliver compliance training to staff at all levels.
Sound computer literacy and experience with compliance or risk management software.
Current Queensland driver’s licence.
Tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Law, Business, or related field (desired).
