The Finance Brokers Association of Australasia (FBAA) represents more than 13,500 finance and mortgage brokers across Australia and New Zealand. We’re known for our professionalism, passion, and purpose – and now we’re looking for a hands-on Sales and Event Support Officer to join our Business Development team.

You’ll be a go-to team member supporting our national events, sponsorships and member engagement activities – and you’ll be part of a workplace that genuinely values collaboration, flexibility, and making a difference.

About the role

This is a hybrid role (2–3 days WFH) based out of our Eight Mile Plains office. You’ll support a team that’s regularly on the road, helping bring our national member events and relationship activities to life.

This is a great opportunity for someone who’s highly organised, confident across a range of systems, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:

Coordinating event stock, packing and courier bookings

Assisting with event registrations and member queries

Following up on sales leads from events and converting new member opportunities

Managing team inboxes, scheduling, and basic reporting

Supporting event planning and logistics across the team

You’ll work closely with our Chief Development Officer and be a key support to our national partnerships and events team, as well as our Executive and State-based leaders.

Who we’re looking for
You’ll be someone who:

Loves a fast-paced environment and has a proactive, solutions-first mindset

Is tech savvy and confident using multiple platforms (Google Workspace, Zoom, event systems, CRM tools, etc.)

Has previous experience in admin, customer service, events or sales support

Communicates well, stays organised and follows through

Is a team player – ready to roll up sleeves and pitch in where needed
