Power and Water Corporation, a Northern Territory Government-owned utility, operates across an expansive 1.3 million square kilometres, from the arid central desert to the tropical monsoon regions of the Top End. We provide essential electricity generation, transmission and distribution, as well as water supply and wastewater treatment services to communities across the NT, including remote Aboriginal communities and outstations.

We are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating the reporting, presentation, and analysis of cost drivers, forecasts, and budgets for various business units. Key responsibilities include designing reports, analysing key performance indicators, financial modelling, and delivering insightful financial presentations and management reports in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate broad knowledge of accounting principles and their practical application, including the preparation of financial statements and management reports. They will have extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting, with a strong ability to provide risk-based financial advice and resolve complex financial issues. Exceptional analytical skills and the capacity to interpret financial data are essential. Success in this role also requires the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across all levels and effectively manage complex situations in culturally diverse environments.

Experience in a utility or similar operational environment is highly desirable, along with postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and membership with either Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) or CPA Australia.
