Job Overview:

We are seeking a Site Management Accountant to manage and oversee all financial activities on-site, providing key financial insights and driving improvements across our manufacturing operations. The role is crucial in ensuring that financial controls are maintained, cost efficiencies are identified, and data-driven decisions are supported at the operational level.

You will work closely with the operations, procurement, and management teams to provide accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, while contributing to the ongoing success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial and accounting functions on-site, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the site, providing detailed analysis of financial performance.
• Conduct variance analysis to monitor operational costs, productivity, and profitability.
• Support the operations team with cost analysis and process improvements.
• Implement and maintain financial controls to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
• Lead the financial planning and analysis process to identify trends and recommend areas for improvement.
• Ensure accurate tracking of production costs, labour expenses, and materials usage.
• Play a key role in systems improvement and automation of financial processes.
• Provide strategic financial advice to management to support decision-making and operational improvements.

Experience working as a financial manager or accountant in a manufacturing or construction environment is important.

The role is based in Darwin, and only applicants currently located in Darwin or planning to relocate will be considered.
