Dankav has been in operation for 25 years, we have had great sustained growth over this period. We are now a fast-growing property development and building company based on the Gold Coast. With multiple projects underway and a pipeline set to push turnover into the hundred of millions, we’re scaling hard and building a team that can deliver at speed and at scale.

We don’t play safe, we don’t slow down — and we’re looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who thrives in high-growth environments.

This isn’t a cushy corporate gig. It’s hands on high stakes and not for the faint hearted. We want a battle tested operator who’s spent a minimum of 10-15 years building and delivering major projects and is hungry to do it bigger, faster and smarter.

Why this role matters

The COO will be the engine room of Dankav. You’ll be the one driving operational excellence, building systems that can scale, and leading teams to deliver projects that hit time, budget, and quality targets.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner directly with the Managing Director to shape the company’s growth strategy, manage risk, and ensure we’re ready for the next level of scale.

What you’ll do

• Take command of operations across multiple large-scale projects.

• Build and refine systems, processes, and reporting that support growth.

• Oversee budgets, timelines, compliance, and quality outcomes.

• Negotiate hard with stakeholders, contractors, and consultants.

• Mentor and lead high-performing teams.

• Partner with the Managing Director to deliver a bold growth vision.

What you bring

• 10–15 years’ experience in development, building, or large-scale construction.

• A proven record of scaling operations and delivering big projects.

• Commercial sharpness — you know contracts, budgets, and risk inside out.

• Hands-on leadership style: you drive performance, not just strategy.

• Resilience, pace, and hunger to succeed in a high-growth environment.

Previous experience with multiple jobs above $300 million.

Sharp on the numbers, ruthless on delivery, calm under pressure.

You will lead from the front -teams rally when your in charge.
