About the role

German International School Sydney are seeking an experienced IB Business Management Teacher to join our team immediately. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning within the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in Business Studies.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the curriculum.

· Foster learning and critical thinking, aligned with IB Learner Profile attributes.

· Develop and administer assessments according to IB standards.

· Support students’ personal, social, and academic development.

· Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

· Contribute to the wider school community.

What an ideal candidate looks like

• Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant subject area (Business, Commerce, or related field).

• Teaching accreditation/registration in NSW (NESA).

• Teaching experience in the IB is mandatory.

• Economics or English as second subject would be an advantage.

• Experience in an International School environment would be a distinct advantage.

• Excellent communication skills, multi-tasking and time management.

• Ability to work as a part of a team and an interest in participating in the wider school community.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• German Language Skills would be an advantage but are not mandatory for this role, it is expected that new teachers will build and consolidate their basic knowledge within the first three years of employment.

• Authorised to work in Australia.

• Current Valid WWCC.
