South West Sydney | Local Government Client | CK Recruitment
CK Recruitment is seeking an experienced media & Communications advisor to join our local government client based in South West Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a background in sales & marketing.
Monday - Friday
Start 8.30am Finish 4.30pm
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare high quality media releases, speeches, and all communications collateral to meet councils corporate and strategic goals
Develop responses for media enquiries
Contribute to developing and delivering strategies for council projects, programs and activities
Exercise sound judgement in dealing with complex and sensitive media communication issues
Produce high quality ork with strict deadlines with minimal supervision, as well as working as part of a small multi skilled team
Foster positive working relationships with external stakeholders e.g journalists and media and outlets, and internal stakeholders to deliver results, solve problems and anticipate customer needs.
Skills & Experience:
Advanced level of written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in the area of corporate communications and strategic public relations
Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, public relations or in a related field
Have ability to identify media risk or opportunity, manage media enquiries and develop media statements
Desirable knowledge of local government environment
Must have drivers license
