About the role

Exciting opportunity to join the passionate team at Robertsons Bakery and Hearth Kitchen as the Cafe Manager. In this full-time position based in Hay NSW 2711, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of this thriving cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the business towards continued success.

What you'll be doing

Managing and leading a team of passionate baristas, chefs and front-of-house staff

Overseeing all cafe operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and workflow optimisation

Ensuring consistently high levels of customer service and satisfaction

Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability

Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement

Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

Liaising with the wider Robertsons Bakery management team to support the overall business objectives

Identify opportunities to improve café operations, such as introducing new services or expanding the customer base.

Develop and implement marketing strategies, such as promotions, loyalty programs, or social media campaigns, to attract and retain customers.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar cafe management role

Proven track record of driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional customer service

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team

Strong financial acumen, including experience in inventory management and cost control

Passion for the hospitality industry and a deep understanding of current industry trends

Adaptable and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think strategically

Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or a related field
