About the Role
Lead and deliver a portfolio of strategic science and innovation projects that support state-wide policy and research initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring expert project and stakeholder management across government and external partners. You'll manage key programs aligned with the 20-Year R&D Roadmap and work closely with executive leaders to ensure strategic alignment and delivery.

You will join our Strategy & Programs team within the Office of the Chief Scientist & Engineer (OCSE) in the Premiers Department. OCSE supports science, research, and innovation across NSW, with a mission to ensure science informs major policy and investment decisions.

We're Looking For

  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience delivering complex programs from initiation to evaluation
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to manage diverse stakeholders and influence in sensitive environments
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven track record in advising executive leadership and aligning programs with organisational strategy
  • Government Acumen: Deep understanding of government processes and experience working in politically sensitive contexts
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesise complex information and deliver high-quality advice, briefings, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
