About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Seven Hills, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and assembly of mechanical systems and equipment used in the water and wastewater industry. This includes working with valves, pumps, actuators, and other equipment.

This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a safety-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform fault-finding, repair, and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment

Diagnose mechanical failures and provide engineering-based solutions to ensure optimal performance.

Carry out installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment in workshop and field environments.

Conduct routine servicing, overhauls, and refurbishments of water industry components

Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to complete fabrication and assembly tasks.

Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance as per company procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years' experience in a mechanical fitting role within the water, wastewater, or industrial engineering sectors.

Expertise in working with valves, pumps, actuators and pipework.

Strong ability to diagnose faults, conduct overhauls, and implement preventative maintenance strategies.

Ability to read and interpret drawings and work independently or as part of a team.

Strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail.

Current Australian driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
