About the role

Paolo's Pizza Bar in Hervey Bay, QLD is looking for a talented and experienced part-time Chef to join our team. As a Part-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Italian dishes in a fast-paced, vibrant environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to the success of our popular local pizzeria.

The successful candidate must be available to work a mix of weekdays and weekends.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of Italian dishes, including pizzas, pasta, and other specialities

Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency

Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely service

Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Assisting with inventory management and menu planning

Providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive work environment

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications or experience in professional food preparation and cooking

A minimum of 1-2 years professional cooking experience is required

Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and a passion for creating delicious, authentic dishes

Excellent time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen culture

Commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene

Strong communication and customer service skills
