The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team as we open our brand new restaurant. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a genuine love for Indian cooking.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian dishes to a high standard, including curries, tandoor items, and street-style snacks.

Plan and develop new menu items in collaboration with management.

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, food safety, and proper hygiene.

Manage and mentor junior kitchen staff.

Monitor inventory, order supplies, and adhere to cost controls.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

About You:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a chef, preferably in an Indian or multicultural restaurant setting.

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification preferred.

In-depth knowledge and skills in Indian culinary techniques and spices.

Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen and deliver under pressure.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Willingness to work flexible hours (including weekends, evenings, and public holidays).
