Chef required for a well-established Indian restaurant “SPICE AFFAIRS KAPOOR’S AUTHENTIC INDIAN CUISINE” located at 128 ELDER STREET, LAMBTON NSW 2299.

Prospective applicants must have good prior experience of working commercially as an Indian chef. Duties include.

We are Busy Indian Restaurant in Newcastle and serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

We have a current chef and looking to addon new Chef to team for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner services.

Below are the some tasks but not limited to:

Preparing various food items from the restaurant’s menu that includes vegetarian, no vegetarian and seafood dishes.

Monitor the kitchen staff during the Pre-cooking preparations.

Supervise the kitchen staff during all stages of food preparation.

Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.

Plan rosters and train new staff

Maintaining the standards of kitchen sanitation and enforcing hygiene regulations to all kitchen staff.

monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff

demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
