Your new role

As an EL1 Program Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of strategic projects, ensuring alignment with broader program objectives. This role involves managing project documentation, coordinating reporting, and facilitating communication across teams and stakeholders. You will play a key role in supporting governance processes and contributing to high-level briefings and reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing project planning and delivery across multiple workstreams
  
• Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining key project documents including plans, budgets, risk registers, and meeting papers
  
• Coordinating program-level reporting and ensuring consistency in project management practices
  
• Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and collaboration
  
• Supporting governance activities and contributing to strategic discussions across the branch
  

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience in program or project management within government will be essential, along with the following:

• Strong leadership and coordination skills across complex projects
  
• Proven ability to manage documentation, reporting, and governance processes
  
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  
• Sound judgement and strategic thinking in a policy or program environment
  
• Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance
