About the role

We are seeking an experienced and friendly part-time medical receptionist to join our team at Hall Road Medical Centre in Carrum Downs, VIC. As a medical receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our busy medical practice.

This part-time position requires 26-30 hours per week.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients, both in person and on the phone, with a friendly and professional manner

Scheduling and managing patient appointments efficiently

Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient information

Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and general office duties

Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable at all times

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a General Practice Medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role

A minimum of 1 year experience as a General Practice Medical receptionist is required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients of all ages and backgrounds

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

Proficient in using medical practice software, preferably Best Practice and computer systems

A friendly, professional, and empathetic approach to patient care

A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient privacy
