Medical Receptionist – Haven Clinic

Haven Clinic is an alternative therapy clinic specialising in alternative therapies and holistic health services. We are seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role is patient-facing and requires professionalism, compassion, and confidentiality at all times.

Position Details
This is a part-time role, with core hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Hours may be negotiable for the right candidate.

Job Description
You will support the Haven Clinic team to ensure all patients, carers, visitors, and health professionals experience a professional, welcoming, and safe environment. Upholding confidentiality and providing compassionate care are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with patients, clinical staff, and external healthcare professionals and organisations

Manage appointment bookings and maintain accurate patient records

Handle front desk, phone, and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner

Maintain electronic databases and documentation as appropriate

Assist patients with accessibility needs (e.g., mobility, wheelchairs, prams) in line with clinic policy

Essential Skills and Requirements

Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams (preferred)

Experience with practice management software (e.g., Best Practice, Helix, or similar)

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

A professional, calm, and patient-focused approach

Interest in holistic health and alternative therapy is highly regarded but not essential

Carry out general administrative duties, including scanning, data entry, and workspace organisation

Communicate clearly and appropriately with staff regarding patient and operational matters
