We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements within our finance team.
About the Role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to support daily operations, month-end processes, and provide timely and accurate financial information to assist business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and statutory returns.
Support month-end and year-end processes, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow reporting.
Maintain the integrity of balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as required.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and providing insights.
Reconcile fixed assets, including asset registers, depreciation, and amortisation.
Support payroll processing and maintain accurate payroll records in line with compliance requirements.
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations, preparing and lodging returns as required.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial support and respond to queries.
Assist in process improvements, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency within accounting operations.
Contribute to accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Provide support in financial audits and liaise with external auditors when required.
Opportunity to grow into a broader Finance Manager function within 12 months.
About You:
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum 12 months’ full-time accounting experience is required, including proven ability in preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring regulatory compliance
CA/CPA qualification.
Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and statutory reporting.
Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, including D365, Business Central, and Power BI, is highly desirable.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
