Lead Strategic Sourcing for High-Impact Government Programs

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing strategies, manage high-value procurement projects, and drive best practice contract management across a large, complex government organisation.
This is a hands-on leadership role working across business-critical functions including finance, corporate services, and technology. You'll work closely with stakeholders and vendors to ensure the delivery of strategic, commercially sound procurement outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities across a range of high-value categories
• Manage complex tenders, supplier negotiations, and contract lifecycle activities
• Provide expert procurement advice to internal stakeholders
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business and policy goals
• Drive innovation and improvement in procurement processes, supplier engagement, and contract performance
• Identify and mitigate commercial and supply chain risks
• Lead and support a small team to build procurement capability across the organisation

What We’re Looking For

✅ Strong experience in government or large corporate procurement
✅ Proven ability to lead complex sourcing projects and high-value negotiations
✅ Strong knowledge of procurement governance, probity, and risk management
✅ Excellent stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen
✅ Tertiary qualifications in procurement, contract management, business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
