About the Opportunity We are seeking experienced Project Directors, Senior Project Managers, and Project Managers to deliver major infrastructure projects for a leading NSW Government organisation. These positions offer the chance to work on high-profile capital works that will make a lasting impact on communities across the state.
You will be part of a collaborative and outcomes-focused delivery team, overseeing projects from concept through to completion. With multiple positions available, we welcome applications from professionals with proven experience in managing complex projects in the public or infrastructure sector.
About the RolesProject Director – Lead large-scale, high-value infrastructure programs, providing strategic direction, stakeholder engagement, and governance oversight across multiple project streams.
Senior Project Manager – Manage the end-to-end delivery of major capital works projects, leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeframes.
Project Manager – Coordinate and deliver assigned projects or workstreams, managing contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to meet agreed outcomes.
Key Accountabilities(may vary depending on role)
- Lead or manage the planning, procurement, design, construction, and handover of infrastructure projects.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting in line with governance requirements.
- Manage consultant and contractor performance, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, standards, and regulations.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including community representatives, contractors, and government partners.
- Prepare and present progress reports, business cases, and project updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Challenges
- Delivering multiple, complex projects in operational environments.
- Managing competing stakeholder interests while maintaining project objectives.
- Navigating unforeseen issues such as delays, cost variations, and technical challenges.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, construction, architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects in government or similar sectors.
- Strong understanding of procurement, contract management, and compliance processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel as required.
