Our NSW Government client are hiring for a highly capable Senior Project Manager to join the organisation. In this role, candidates must have energy or utilities sector experience, with a strong understanding of connection processes, as well as being able to work across an array of project activities. Core tasks include: delivering to multiple business units; guiding organisational change; management of project finances and schedules; as well as identifying risks and issues. Additionally, experience working with IT vendors is highly valuable.

Candidates across NSW will be considered, with the role allowing for a high amount of work from home options.

Role Title: Senior Project Manager

Contract Duration: 12 Month initial contract

Daily Pay: $1,150 to $1,288 Inclusive of Super per day.

Location: Wider NSW (2000) Candidates are expected to travel to offices in Sydney or Port Macquarie on occasion.

Key accountabilities/competencies:

• Manage relationships across the business, for this project.
• Ensure the project is tracking to it's deliverables, from both a financial and scheduling standpoint.
• Consider the end-customer and the impact of changes on them to a high level.
• Adhere to federal government regulations and help implement an emergency backstop functionality, control export limits from consumers and as needed, allow for dialling up of this export limit.
  

Skills and Experience required:

• Demonstrated experience in managing diverse specialist technical teams in an Information Technology and Corporate environment.
• Experience within the energy or utilities sector on wide-scale, complex project implementation. A thorough understanding of connection processes is necessary.
• Developing and collating performance reporting which is meaningful to executive stakeholders and other relevant parties.
• High level interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes in an organisation with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a changing environment.
• It is desirable to have Project/Programme Management Certifications e.g. Prince2, PMBOK, MSP.
• Experience with Salesforce platforms is highly valued too.
