Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Senior Procurement Officer to join their team.

This role will provide specialist procurement sourcing services relating to Infrastructure and Asset Management projects to implement procurement planning and sourcing decisions and deliver cost effective, value for money outcomes in accordance with legislative requirements and NSW Government procurement objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the end-to-end tender sourcing stages including procurement planning, development, and risk management activities to meet business and operational needs.
   
2. Develop and administer contemporary sourcing strategies and plans to meet business needs, generate savings.
   
3. Prepare and negotiate supplier tenders / agreements to inform financially sound procurement decisions.
   
4. Identify, manage and mitigate procurement risks.
   
5. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support sourcing strategies and whole-of-government objectives.
   

Selection Criteria:

1. Procurement roles at mid to senior levels where end-to-end sourcing coordination is the core experience and skill.
   
2. Government experience will be required, this can be Local and State Government.
   
3. Experience in preparation of Construction tenders highly desirable (GC21/MW21)
   

On offer is a 6-months+ contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
