About the role

As the Leading Hand/ Supervisor for Rural Fencing, Construction & Ag at Rural Contracting Group, you will play a key role in managing teams of skilled construction workers to deliver high-quality fencing, construction and agricultural projects across rural South Australia. This full-time position is based in Gawler SA.

What you'll be doing

Lead and supervise crews of construction workers to complete rural fencing, construction and agricultural projects

Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure successful delivery

Coordinate material ordering, equipment management and staffing to optimise project efficiency

Provide on-site training and mentorship to upskill the construction team

Monitor and report on project progress, quality and safety standards

Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation

What we're looking for

Significant experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor in rural fencing, construction or agricultural projects

Hands-on knowledge of construction techniques, equipment operation and project management

Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate and motivate teams

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications

Relevant industry qualifications or certifications

A commitment to workplace health and safety
