About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to lead our onshore and offshore finance team and take ownership of the organisation’s full financial operations. This pivotal role is underpinned by our organisation values that include ensuring robust financial governance and sustainable growth across all business units.

Working closely with the executive team, you will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee compliance with NDIS billing requirements, and implement improvements that strengthen operational performance. With NDIS funding creating unique cashflow challenges, you’ll play a key role in forecasting and ensuring financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the finance function, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll (approx. 200 staff), management and board reporting.

Work collaboratively to develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting across multiple business units aligned to NDIS service delivery.

Maintain strict oversight of NDIS billing – ensure claims are lodged accurately, in line with participant plans, the NDIS Price Guide, and compliance frameworks.

Prepare and reconcile payroll files for processing with the external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Strengthen and optimise internal financial controls and debtors/creditors management.

Manage cashflow forecasting, ensuring sufficient funds are available for operations and growth, and proactively addressing funding or billing cycle delays.

Prepare and review financial statements, BAS, PAYG, superannuation, and other statutory returns.

Work in conjunction with appointed tax accountant to facilitate timely lodgment of company tax returns which would include provision of the relevant sources and reconciliation information.

Drive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, and financial risk management.

Provide financial analysis and modelling to support business unit performance and future growth.

Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislative obligations, and the relevant NDIS Practice Standards.

About You

Relevant professional qualifications.

5–10 years’ senior financial management and reporting experience, ideally within the NDIS or community services sector.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing finance teams across diverse functions.

Advanced analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

High-level proficiency in Excel and financial systems (experience with Float, Pay Cat and Xero).

Deep understanding of NDIS funding structures, billing compliance, and financial governance in disability services.

Exceptional communicator with strong attention to detail, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
