St John of God Healthcare at Home (HAH) offers a range of out of hospital services including hospital substitution and acute and non-acute services delivered by a multidisciplinary care team of nurses, midwives, lactation consultants, allied health practitioners and support workers to assist clients recover at home after a hospital stay. The service provides more than 110,000 home care visits each year and provides nursing, midwifery and lactation support, and allied health services in the home.

Your role at St John of God Healthcare at Home
We are seeking Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to join our growing HAH services across multiple sites in Victoria.

We have several permanent and casual positions available at Ballarat, Bendigo, Berwick and Geelong.

You will provide nursing care patients in their place of residence within the community. This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated and professional clinical team who provide excellent standards of care to patients throughout the community

The Position

• Capacity to understand and willingness to support and promote the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
• Commitment to organisation's service ethos through the provision of excellent service.
• Assess and document the anticipated needs of the patient.
• Make relevant referrals as necessary.
• Assess the occupational health and safety needs in the home and organize occupational therapy assessment to improve safety if necessary.
• In accordance with the prepared nursing care plan provide care that encourages the return to independent living where appropriate.
• Liaise closely with the Registered Nurse, Clinical Case Manager and treating Doctor to maintain the highest possible standard of nursing care within the home.
• Observe, record and report to a Registered Nurse specific and general physical and mental conditions of patients, and symptoms and signs which may be indicative of change.

Successful applicants will hold a valid State Drivers Licence and be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.

Registered Nurses must have minimum three years post graduate experience in acute nursing or speciality.

• Salary: RN $79,535 to $100,984 plus 12% Superannuation
• Salary: EN $63,087 to $75,324 plus 12% Superannuation
• Casual rate: RN $50.15 to $63.68 (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% Superannuation
• Casual rate: EN $39.78 to $47.50 (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% Superannuation
• Permanent and casual positions available
