About the role

An opportunity exists for a part-time in-home nurse and housekeeper to work for an Elderly Lady with early Dementia in Bayswater, Victoria. This role is a vital role with a commitment to providing high-quality, personalised care to our elderly clients in the comfort of their own homes. As an in-home nurse and housekeeper, you will be responsible for delivering a range of nursing and domestic services to help our client maintain their independence and quality of life. You will work from their private home in BAYSWATER

What you'll be doing

Providing nursing care and support, including medication management, wound care, and monitoring of health conditions

Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing

Preparing nutritious meals and snacks, and ensuring clients have access to a balanced diet

Performing light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying

Offering companionship and social interaction to help combat loneliness and isolation

Communicating regularly with clients' families and healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care

Due to the bathing and personal care our client will only accept a FEMALE for this position

What we're looking for

Registered nurse (Division 1) or enrolled nurse (Division 2) qualification

Experience in aged care or home-based nursing, preferably in a similar in-home care role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life for older adults

Proficient in managing multiple tasks and priorities to ensure clients' needs are met

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

The role

You will work Monday to Friday part time hours which can be flexible but we anticipate 10 am to 4pm approximately. Weekend work may be offered if the candidate is interested. A car and drivers licence is preferred but not essential
