About the role
We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at IL MATTO TORQUAY', a renowned restaurant in Torquay, Victoria. As a full-time Cook, you will be an integral part of our kitchen operations.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation
Maintaining a clean and organised workstation and adhering to all food safety and hygiene protocols
Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and refine existing recipes
Providing excellent customer service by ensuring timely and efficient delivery of meals
Participating in inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies
Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Strong technical skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic kitchen environment
A passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
