Job Overview:

Coffee Life Traf in Trafalgar is looking for a qualified Cook to join our team. We are a busy and well-loved café known for our all-day breakfast, fresh seasonal dishes, and classic favourites. Responsibilities and Duties:

Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes from our all-day menu, including breakfast classics, burgers, hot food, sandwiches, and sweet treats.

Ensure dishes are well-presented, consistent, and delivered to a high standard.

Assist with daily prep, portioning, and plating for both breakfast and lunch services.

Monitor quality, freshness, and portion control while maintaining efficiency.

Support menu development with seasonal ideas and new dish suggestions.

Manage stock rotation, storage, and kitchen organisation.

Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.

Guide and support junior staff during busy service periods.

Keep kitchen areas clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years full-time experience working as a Cook/Chef in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.

Proven ability to maintain high standards under pressure.

Sound knowledge of safe food handling procedures and kitchen hygiene practices.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
