HSEQ Coordinator – refurbishment and build contractor.

Nature of works – live environment, fast track, day & night works in the fit-out, refurb and minor new build space

Typical projects - Retail, hospitality, supermarket, fast food restaurants, shopping centre projects

Salary from $110,000 - $115,000 + Super + Travel Allowance

An excellent, highly regarded national interior fit-out, refurbishment contractor has an immediate need to hire am HSEQ Coordinator on a permanent basis to join their growing team. Joining this business employing approx. 100 staff nationally, you will work as a HSEQ Coordinator on projects typically within the live environment shopping centre, retail, fast-food restaurant and supermarket space with projects valued between $500k - $5M which will be located throughout Greater Brisbane, Gold Coast and Regional QLD.

The position will be a combination of office-based safety administration with travel to sites in Brisbane and occasionally Interstate. Reporting to the National safety manager, you will be responsible for the following;

Implement WHS&E documentation across projects

Provide safety support to project teams, including risk assessments and toolbox meetings

Ensuring company staff and site managers are complying to safety systems, company WHSE policies and plans.

Conduct audits nationally to identify and eliminate non-conformance safety issues

Ensure site teams are keeping up with daily/weekly inspections through Procore software

Improvement and consistent management of the safety culture across the business

Liaised with subcontractors to ensure in line with company safety procedures.

Coordinated incident investigations and compliance reporting.

Assist project teams with closeout of external audit findings.

To be suitable for the position, it is anticipated you will possess the following:

Be passionate about safety in construction.

Have a real interest in Ongoing professional development in WHSE trends and legislation.

Hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

Have strong safety administration skills.

Use of Procore and Hammertech software is highly desirable.

Comfortable on construction sites

Have strong written and communication skills.

Happy and able to travel Interstate occasionally.
