Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Inventory Officer responsible for the procurement and management of food & beverage products and supplies across all Ghanem Group venues.
A key member of our Finance and Operations teams, this role will see you review and implement best practice procurement and inventory management processes to ensure target sale and cost margins are achieved.
More specifically, the Group Procurement and Inventory Officer will be responsible for:
Procurement & Inventory Management
Negotiating with existing and new suppliers
Evaluating pricing of goods and products across various suppliers, and ensuring pricing consistency across all venues
Monitoring stock levels and placed purchases, received and credit orders
Working with and assist the Group Executive Chef and Beverage Manager to negotiate pricing and terms of agreements
Stocktake Management
Managing monthly stocktakes of both food and drink in accordance with agreed procedures across all venues
Working with Restaurant and Bar Managers to understand material stock variances identified and implement best practice inventory management solutions
System Management and Reporting
Preparing monthly stock take analysis report, including analysis of cost of sales, purchases, closing stock, wastage, and compare with targeted figures.
Maintain POS and Cost Management systems with accurate information
To be successful in your new role, you will require the following qualifications, experience and skills:
Experience in hospitality with strong food and beverage product and Supplier knowledge.
Previous experience in procurement, stock control, cellar or kitchen management highly desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience negotiating and agreeing supplier terms
Proven skills and experience with POS & Procurement Cost Management
Highly organised with a strong attention to detail/accuracy
Experience in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Tertiary qualifications in business/hospitality management highly desirable
