About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer t to become a key part of their expanding and motivated team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the both operational and project work, including implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and be the senior escalation point for network incidents.

This is an exciting opportunity to deepen your expertise while working across a broad range of technologies and vendors.

• Manage, maintain and improve the Network services for customer systems
• Configure and install network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers
• Be the Level 3 Network SME for priority issues
• Ensure that managed Networks meet or exceed operational SLAs
• Provide input into the design and implementation of technical solutions and services for customers

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years experience in a Senior Network Engineer role
• Experience with Cisco Switches, Routers and Firewalls
• Experience with Meraki, Palo Alto and Fortinet
• IT Qualification in Network and/or Security disciplines
• Experience working in second and third level support roles on network and security issues
• Experience in the automation of routine IT processes
• Car and license for on-site travel and project roll-outs

As you will be liaising with customers and attending project meetings, it's very important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
