We exist to support and accelerate the success of growth businesses globally. Starting in Sydney Australia, we are now providing live events in New Zealand, UK and the US.
As the Senior Marketing Manager – Live Events, you are integral to the company’s success. You will take our live event program to market by developing and executing marketing strategies and maximise revenue. You will have experience creating and driving event strategies that build brand momentum, market leadership, lead generation, and client engagement. You will be comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as long-term strategy, thriving with tight deadlines and changing needs. Working with the CEO, you will be a metrics-driven, creative, and proactive marketer who excels at bringing together professional audiences face-to-face to learn, network, and grow.
Responsibilities
Creating a comprehensive marketing plan for each assigned event, creating a go-to marketing campaign, detailing all event campaign activity, and tracking
Planning and delivering cross-channel marketing campaigns in line with event objectives and budget to ensure the greatest ROI and achievement of financial and delegate targets.
Lead the planning process for each assigned event, ensuring collaboration and communication across all departments to ensure a successful launch that is delivered on time.
Responsible for individual event marketing plan execution and reporting to meet registration targets
Strategically connect business priorities, objectives, and key messages to content delivery on assigned events.
Identify partnership opportunities, drive third-party alliance campaigns, and create win-win collaboration
Collaborate with the wider events team to ensure alignment of activities, share ideas, and best practices.
Manage external PR agency relationships, ensuring PR strategies are delivered and achieved.
Interface with various external and internal groups so teams are aware of planned activities and understand how to leverage them
Utilise analytical tools to inform and identify the best channel mix to achieve commercial and strategic goals and the best possible ROI on campaign spend
Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and strategies.
Develop pre- and post-event campaigns that contribute to business objectives.
Write and proof copy for a range of marketing platforms and materials including websites, social media, emails and brochures.
Drive customer focus and a culture of customer centricity across the team, ensuring all plans are underpinned by an understanding of customer needs, and market dynamics
Gathering & evaluating customer research, demand for product, market trends, competitor data to help inform the development and creation of effective and engaging marketing plans
Determine and manage the company’s marketing budget
Produce routine and special reporting including regular KPI reports and quarterly reports for the Executive team
Requirements
5+ years of proven marketing experience in delivering commercially viable live events
Creative, innovative, and able to think outside the box
Analytical approach to marketing and ability to work with data
Demonstrable experience in the development and delivery of successful data-driven event marketing plans
Clear understanding of marketing metrics and KPIs, testing, performance measurement and the application of basic marketing principles
Goal orientated and ability to deliver results on time
Highly organised and proficient at managing multiple projects at a time
A strong commercial awareness and a clear comprehension of profit and loss/basic business principles
In-depth knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
Experience with Marketing automation
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products and WordPress
Previous experience in using CRM system eg. Salesforce, Active Campaign,
