The Role

We are seeking a VPS4 People Partner to join our State Government organisation, on a intial 2 month contract with a potential to extend. You will partner with leaders and staff to deliver people initiatives and provide guidance on HR policies and processes. This role is hands-on, varied, and ideal for someone passionate about supporting both strategic and operational people practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and advice to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practice
• Partner with business leaders to support workforce planning, performance, and engagement
• Manage employee relations matters and support resolution processes
• Contribute to the delivery of people initiatives and organisational development programs

About You

• Proven experience in a HR Business Partner, People Partner, or generalist HR role
• Knowledge of HR policies, employee relations, and workforce planning
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in the public sector or government highly regarded
