Hours of Work - 6am-2pm Monday to Friday
Salary range: $77,000 to $85,000
Laurent Bakery currently has employment opportunities available for qualified and experienced Pastry/Cooks to join our team.
We are currently searching for talented and motivated individuals to undertake Pastry Chef roles within our team cooking in our Pastry Kitchen.
Job Duties:
Prepare, season and cook pastries as directed including moulding/mixing
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
Train apprentices and other kitchen staff
Recording food temperature
Successful Candidates will display the following attributes:
Experience in French patisserie (highly preferred)
Must have proving and baking as a speciality - please provide examples in your application
Have some knowledge of HACCP quality systems and quality focus
Able to perform all prep work
Calm under pressure
Friendly, hardworking individual with the right attitude
Available weekends and nights
The ability to work as part of a team and multi-task
Education:
Relevant Cert III or higher in Baking or Patisserie and at least two years of relevant work experience.
Without formal qualification, at least four years relevant work experience
Schedule:
Fulltime, Shift work
