About your new role!
As a Business Advisory Support Officer, you’ll provide financial analysis, reporting, and advisory services to support decision-making across the Water Group. You’ll prepare management reports, budgets, and forecasts, and ensure the accuracy of critical financial data. This role also supports stakeholder engagement and helps embed improvements to financial processes and systems.
Key tasks for this role include:

• Preparing financial reports, forecasts, and performance updates for management
• Supporting the budgeting process to align with corporate and government goals
• Analysing financial data to provide insights and advice on complex issues
• Managing General Ledger accounts and reconciliation processes
• Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver financial and business performance outcomes
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives across finance and reporting

About You!
We’re looking for someone with:

• Degree qualifications in Finance (or equivalent experience)
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP or similar financial systems
• Strong financial analysis and reporting experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills

Qualifications for the role include:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated government or large organisation finance experience
• Proven ability to deliver accurate reports to deadlines

Role Title: Business Advisory Accounting Officer
Contract Length: Sept 2025 – May 2026
Pay: $60–$70 per hour + Super
Hours: 7 hours/day | 35 hours/week
Location: Sydney/Parramatta with hybrid working available
