The City of Canning People & Performance Team are undergoing some exciting changes, and we now have a number of new opportunities available to join our team in human resources, talent acquisition and learning and development.
Are you passionate about supporting others to achieve their career aspirations? Join the City of Canning as our Learning & Development Support Officer on a permanent, part time (0.6FTE) basis, and be responsible for administering our learning and development framework.
About the role / A snapshot of your new role
This role will build strong relationships across the City to understand organisational nuances to deliver on a wide range of learning development offerings that meet our diverse stakeholder requirements. Supporting the Learning & Development Specialist and wider People & Culture team, this role is integral in extending our employees capabilities in line with our strategic vision.
A snapshot of your new role:
Support the Learning & Development Specialist to deliver on the City’s L&D programs through organising and booking learning events and activities including creation of purchase orders.
Maintain on-going training and qualification compliance of City employees.
Administer the City’s Apprentice/Trainee programs, including submitting applications for available funding under the direction of the L&D Specialist.
Develop and promote a training calendar in conjunction with the L&D Specialist.
Maintain the City’s digital learning records and resources, and coordinate the provision of reports, dashboards and feedback surveys that use data analytics.
What you will bring to the role:
Relevant experience in a dynamic administration function.
Experience and exposure to a variety of learning models across diverse workforces or industries.
Experience with developing business reporting and dashboards from several data sources or Human Resources Information systems and an aptitude for working within systems.
Management of a high volume of training and compliance needs.
Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with both internal and
external stakeholders and providers.
Highly organised and effective administration skills.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate administration of talent management activities.
Driver's licence.
Current Satisfactory National Police Clearance.
