About the Role
We are seeking an Executive – Economic Development to lead the design and delivery of economic development initiatives that support the aspirations of the Banjima People. This role will focus on building commercial partnerships, delivering strategic projects, and creating employment and training opportunities while strengthening BNTAC’s path to self-sustainability.
You will work closely with the CEO, BNTAC Executives, and the Banjima Pty Ltd (BPL) Board to identify opportunities, establish partnerships, and ensure initiatives align with Banjima values and stewardship of Country.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement BNTAC’s Economic Development Strategy.
Identify and progress economic development and commercial opportunities.
Build strong commercial partnerships and prepare business cases for funding or investment.
Work with stakeholders in mining, decarbonisation, renewable energy, and water sectors to ensure projects align with Banjima Pty Ltd (BPL).
Oversee the design, funding, and implementation of strategic projects.
Build strong stakeholder networks that drive confidence in BNTAC’s economic development capability.
Provide regular reporting to the CEO and manage budgets as required.
About You
You are a strategic thinker with commercial acumen and the ability to convert opportunities into tangible outcomes. You thrive on building partnerships, navigating complex projects, and contributing to community-driven outcomes.
You Will Bring:
Experience developing, implementing and managing commercial projects.
Proven success in stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
Strong background in strategic project management.
Experience working at a senior management level.
Experience working with Traditional Owners.
Knowledge and experience in the mining sector.
