What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead PHIC’s operations, strategy, and advocacy efforts, ensuring members’ interests are advanced through effective policy, governance, and stakeholder relations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead strategy, policy, and advocacy for PHIC.
Represent PHIC with government, industry, media, and community.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Oversee governance, finance, and compliance.
Drive member engagement and value delivery.
Lead a small, high-performing team.
Develop and implement annual work plans and KPIs.
Influence legislation, regulation, and policy outcomes.
About You
You are a strategic, politically astute leader with a proven track record in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and organisational leadership, ideally with experience in regional or resource-based communities.
Minimum 10 years’ senior leadership in NFP, government, or industry association.
Proven record in advocacy, policy influence, and government relations.
Strong governance, strategic planning, and board reporting skills.
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
Financial and business management expertise.
Experience in media, public relations, and public speaking.
Knowledge of WA Government processes and environmental regulation.
Experience in regional/resource sector communities (highly desirable).
