This pivotal leadership role ensures high-quality, compliant, and efficient operations aligned with our mission to empower individuals living with disability.
You will lead from the front, by rolling up your sleeves, solving complex challenges with clarity and calm, and building a thriving, culture where staff and clients genuinely matter.
This role is ideal for someone who brings both strong organisation as well as flexibility—someone who can lead with integrity, coaches staff compassionately, adapts to ever-changing requirements and ensures services delivery goes above and beyond.
Not a role for the faint hearted, but a role that will fill your heart over and over, as you see the dispersed value provided to communities in the North West.
What You’ll Do
Lead with Compassion, Operate with Grounded Strength
Oversee daily NDIS operations across Supported Independent Living (SIL), Supported Employment, Community Access, Transport, In-Home Supports, and Occupational Therapy, ensuring responsive, person-centred delivery and a high standard of care, unique to each and every participant.
Drive Operational Excellence
Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, SCHADS Award, Fair Work, and WHS obligations. Monitor service agreements, budgets, and client records to align with regulatory frameworks and funding guidelines. Ensure ethical choices are made above all.
Inspire and Coach Teams
Manage, mentor and develop staff across two locations (Cloncury and Mt Isa) through supervision, coaching, and systems. Cultivate a culture that values high quality client care, collective and supportive teamwork and continuous improvement.
Strengthen All External Relationships
Build and maintain respectful and authentic relationships with support coordinators, community, health networks, and families. Represent our organisation at community forums and networking events. Maintain a healthy positive connection and respect for Indigenous culture and rural way of life. Actively seek opportunities to expand service provision.
Champion Quality and Continuous Improvement
Develop and implement processes to deliver consistent, compliant, quality and cost-effective services. Participate in audits, risk assessments, and client onboarding and delivery reviews.
What You’ll Bring
Leadership experience in one or more of these settings, rural/remote, community, disability, or health settings
Working knowledge of NDIS, SCHADS Award, Fair Work, and WHS requirements or willingness to get up to speed quickly
Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and ethical service delivery
Tech-savvy with digital tools, software applications, cloud-based systems and apple products
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
Proactive mindset with the ability to manage pressure and competing demands
Passion for mentoring and supporting teams to maintain quality performance
Relevant qualification in community, disability, health, business, training and assessing or other.
Personal qualities of patience, compassion, autonomy, courage and creativity
Current Disability Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
