The Position
We’re looking for a dynamic and highly organised Practice Manager who thrives on driving operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-growth law firm. This role is central to the smooth running of our practice, ensuring our solicitors are supported, client service is exceptional, and our business continues to operate efficiently and profitably.
The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership skills, capable of managing workflow, coordinating client service, and overseeing day-to-day operations while keeping an eye on the bigger picture – business growth, planning, and strategic development.

More About the Role
Oversee and manage daily operations of the firm to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Manage solicitor workloads, monitor progress, and allocate resources to meet deadlines.
Coordinate client onboarding, relationship management, and service delivery.
Assist with strategic business planning, operational improvements, and growth initiatives.
Monitor and forecast firm financial performance, including budgets and professional development investment.
Trust account oversight, including reporting and compliance with QLS requirements.
Implement and refine workflow systems to maximise efficiency.
Lead, mentor, and support solicitors and support staff to achieve professional and firm objectives.
Collaborate with Directors on strategic projects across the New Wave Group.
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Practice Manager, Operations Manager, or in a senior legal administration role.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Experience in workflow allocation, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
Financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and KPI reporting.
Demonstrated experience in trust account management and reporting in line with QLS and Legal Profession Uniform Law requirements.
Comprehensive understanding of legal compliance, risk management, and professional conduct obligations.
Strong client service ethos with excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in legal practice management software (LEAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
High-level organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
