Kullarri Regional Communities Indigenous Corporation (KRCIC) is seeking an Expression of Interest for the Indigenous Advancement Strategy IAS Team Leader to join our Organisation and work across 4 Kullarri Communities, Bidyadanga, Ardyaloon, Djarindjin and Beagle Bay.
This role is based in Broome, involving travelling to Bidyadanga and Dampier Peninsula communities: Ardyaloon, Djarindjin and Beagle Bay.
The IAS Team Leader is a key staff member in the field working with young people and supporting the IAS Youth Engagement Officers. The role of the Team Leader is to support IAS staff and develop meaningful and positive connections and relationships with key stakeholders, community members and support the IAS staff in their roles developing and maintaining their positions working at the grassroots level with ‘at risk’ vulnerable and disadvantaged young people and their families within each community.
The Team Leader will work closely with the IAS staff to develop a volunteer register within the community to work alongside and with the IAS staff in delivering and developing meaningful and targeted activities.
Essential
Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant equivalent
Local knowledge of Kullarri communities (WA) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Relevant experience in a similar role
Working with Children Check (current or willing to obtain)
National Police Clearance (current or willing to obtain)
C Class Driver's Licence
