Your Opportunity
The Psychosocial Support Program (PSP) is a vital program in the community in partnership with the Healthy North Coast PHN supporting people living with mental illness on their recovery journey.
We are seeing a Program Manager to lead our team across the Mid North Coast region, based in Coffs Harbour.
In this pivotal role, you will be part of our Leadership Team, overseeing a dedicated group of seven staff members who deliver targeted psychosocial support to young people aged 15-25 years. These supports are aimed at building resilience and enhancing psychosocial skills for those experiencing mental health challenges.
Our team operates across Port Macquarie, Grafton, Lismore, Coffs Harbour, and Nambucca Heads. Regular travel to these locations is essential and fully supported with a pool vehicle and travel during work hours.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain an effective and skilled team by establishing role clarity at direct report level ensuring that performance expectations, development and accountabilities are clearly set and reviewed regularly.
- Conduct staff performance discussions when required including setting priorities and outcomes, planning, and organising work and monitoring workflows, and assist in conflict resolution.
- Influence operational activities by contributing to the on-going service development and improvement via strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the service is meeting compliance, funding agreements and create reports including comprehensive program and client data statistics and reports.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders including other serviced providers, government agencies and non-government support best practice in a seamless service system.
- Understand and support responses to community identified requirements for youth mental health and wellbeing.
Requirements for Success
With a significant background in leadership in the Community Services and/or Mental Health and with the child, youth & family sectors, you will be confident in your values-based leadership and workforce planning. Other requirements include:
- Relevant degree with management experience or associate diploma with substantial management experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience working with young people experiencing complex issues.
- Experience working with teams over multiple offices and different geographic regions in complex service delivery setting.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver service outcomes on time and in compliance with funding requirements.
- Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Previous experience in budget and financial management
- Must have full driver licence with no restrictions.
