About the Role
The City is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the City’s Waste Services team. Reporting to the Coordinator Projects & Education, the position will be responsible for the digitisation of the City’s waste collection services. You will work collaboratively across the Service Unit and organisation for successful project delivery and to ensure the City continues to move forward with its strategic waste objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing all aspects of project development, planning, procurement, and implementation in accordance with the City’s Project Management Framework.
- Evaluating and managing project implementation, including risk and contingency management, change management, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues.
- Development of supporting documentation and communication of changes in process and systems to relevant stakeholders.
- Providing specialist advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and recommendations.
- Coordinating the audit of existing data sets and implementation of process improvement and data cleansing.
- Building the digital capacity of Waste Services through project implementation, including providing training and expertise to team members.
- Collaborating with the Waste Operations team and all other stakeholders that hold an interest in waste projects.
- Building relationships with suppliers, customers and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvements in data systems.
- Expanding and overseeing the City’s waste management data suite.
