We’re looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant - GP to help shape this exciting new chapter. If you’re passionate about healthcare recruitment and ready to make a real impact, this is your opportunity to join an already high-performing General Manager with strong leadership and national reach.
Your Role
Reporting to our experienced General Manager, you’ll lead end-to-end recruitment for General Practitioners (GPs)—both permanent and locum—across metro, regional, and rural Australia. You’ll be the go-to expert for clients and candidates, navigating complex compliance requirements and delivering tailored solutions in a competitive market.
What You’ll Be DoingClient Engagement & Growth
- Build and maintain relationships with GP clinics, corporate medical groups, and healthcare organisations.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop customised recruitment strategies.
- Negotiate Terms of Business and foster long-term partnerships.
Candidate Management
- Source, screen, and interview GPs (VR, Non-VR, IMG, FSP, RLAP, 3GA pathways).
- Manage talent pipelines for locum and permanent roles.
- Guide candidates through AHPRA, RACGP/ACRRM, Medicare (19AA/19AB), and visa/sponsorship processes.
- Provide career advice, relocation support, and onboarding assistance.
Recruitment Operations
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from advertising to placement.
- Maintain accurate records in JobAdder.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and recruitment legislation.
Market Intelligence
- Stay ahead of GP workforce trends, immigration pathways, and policy changes.
- Advise clients and candidates on market conditions and remuneration benchmarks.
- Contribute to team strategy, marketing campaigns, and international attraction initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential
- 2–5+ years’ experience in GP or Allied Health recruitment.
- Proven success in placing candidates in permanent and/or locum roles.
- Strong business development and client relationship skills.
- Deep understanding of healthcare compliance (AHPRA, RACGP/ACRRM, Medicare, visas).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in recruitment systems; JobAdder experience preferred.
Desirable
- Experience in international medical recruitment (UK, Ireland, expedited IMG pathways).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, HR, or healthcare.
- Established network of GP clients and candidates.
