About the position
Council’s Safer Communities Department is looking for three Rapid Response Community Laws Officers who will be responsible for proactively monitoring and enforcing Council's Community Local Law and other key legislation across the Frankston CBD and suburban areas.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering proactive operational campaigns of interest to Council to prioritise Community Safety and Amenity.
- Proactive patrols of the Frankston CBD, Shopping Strips, Reserves and the Foreshore.
- Compliance monitoring to Council’s Community Local Law and other key projects.
This is a full time role working 38 hours per week. Overtime will also be paid as required.
Please note that one of these roles is scheduled to commence November 2025.
About you
- Experience in customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling you to interact with the public, businesses, and property owners with professionalism and courtesy.
- Confidence in managing complex and high-pressure situations.
- A strong background in community safety, enforcement, and public engagement.

This position is a 5 currently remunerated at $82,567.33 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
