Job Description:

Responsible for accurate estimates for insurance repairs through desktop quotes and virtual estimating. This office-based role involves supporting the team with technical queries, including aspects such as Make Safe, variations, trades negotiation, and the overall repairs process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Desktop and Virtual Estimating:
2. Utilise advanced estimating software and tools to perform desktop quotes and virtual assessments for insurance repairs. (Prime Eco system )
3. Ensure accuracy in estimating damages without physical on-site inspections.
4. Technical Support:
5. Provide technical support to the office team, addressing queries related to estimating, Make Safe, variations, and repairs processes.
6. Variations and Trades Negotiation:
7. Evaluate and manage variations to initial estimates, considering changes in project scope or unforeseen circumstances.
8. Engage in negotiation with trades and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
9. Repairs Process:
10. Contribute to the efficiency of the overall repairs process by providing timely and accurate estimates.
11. Collaborate with project managers and on-site teams to streamline the transition from estimating to execution.
12. Collaboration with Field Teams:
13. Work closely with field teams to gather additional information, photographs, or documentation required for precise desktop and virtual estimating.
14. Quality Assurance:
15. Conduct quality assurance checks on desktop estimates to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
16. Continuously improve estimating skills and stay updated on relevant software and tools.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in desktop or on site insurance estimating
• Strong technical knowledge related to "Make Safe" procedures, variations, and repairs processes.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with both office and field teams.
• Ability to negotiate effectively with trades and contractors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering accurate estimates.
• Preferably worked on Prime eco system
• Insurance & or construction background
