The successful candidate will work closely with the Partner.

About the position :

Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements & Instalment Activity Statements with Australian Tax Office and complying with the relevant laws;

Preparing and lodging Company, Trust, Partnership & Individual Tax Returns with Australian Tax Office;

Liaising with client to collect payroll information, preparing monthly Payroll, and sending Payslips;

Collecting inputs and assist in preparing Financial Statements for Company, Trust, Partnership & Individuals;

Using accounting software to record journal entries and conducting bookkeeping activities;

Dealing with various state and federal authorities on statutory compliances;

To prepare workpapers and checklists for other compliance activities;

Helping client in their secretarial compliance due dates and lodgements; and

Advising clients on other taxation, payroll, financial reporting and corporate secretarial matters

The skill set we are looking for :

Strong knowledge of Australian tax law - GST & income tax in particular

Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

Previous experience working in an in-house tax role will be beneficial

Completion of a tertiary degree is a must;

Familiar with LodgeIT/Quickbooks/Xero an advantage;
