Our client is a premium accounting and advisory firm based in Mulgrave, working with a broad range of clients, including local and international businesses with turnovers exceeding $20 million. They specialise in strategic tax, compliance, and financial advisory services, with a reputation for long-standing client relationships.

About the role:

As a Junior Accountant, you’ll support the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and compliance tasks, while learning the ins and outs of public practice accounting.

Your key responsibilities:

Assist in preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, and individuals

Support bookkeeping, BAS lodgements, and payroll management for clients

Work across MYOB (primary), Xero, and QuickBooks platforms

Liaise with senior accountants on client queries and compliance matters

Contribute to business advisory projects and cloud system transitions

Develop your technical skills in accounting, tax, and reporting

What you’ll bring:

Some experience in public practice or an accounting role

Exposure to MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
