We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the firm into its next phase of growth and innovation.
Position Overview
The CEO will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, and operational management of Clear Tax. This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance professional services delivery with commercial growth, ensuring the highest levels of compliance, client satisfaction, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the firm’s long-term vision and growth strategy across Tax, Business Tax & Advisory, Accounting, and SMSF Accounting.
Drive innovation, digital transformation, and process efficiency to enhance client experience and profitability.
Identify and pursue new service opportunities, partnerships, and expansion into complementary service lines.
Operational Excellence
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring high-quality and compliant service delivery.
Implement strong governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks, aligned with ATO, ASIC, and industry regulations.
Monitor financial performance and implement initiatives to optimise revenue growth, cost control, and resource utilisation.
Team & Culture
Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of accountants, tax advisors, and SMSF specialists.
Build a collaborative, client-focused culture aligned with the firm’s values of integrity, excellence, and innovation.
Establish professional development pathways to attract, retain, and grow talent.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Strengthen relationships with clients, ensuring Clear Tax remains their trusted advisor of choice.
Represent the firm externally with regulators, professional bodies, partners, and industry networks.
Oversee brand building, marketing, and networking initiatives, including ClearBiz and community engagement.
Key Requirements
Must hold a current Australian Tax Agent Licence.
Proven track record in a senior leadership role within Professional Services, Accounting, or Financial Services.
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, business tax & advisory, property structures, business accounting, SMSF compliance, and ITRs.
Commercial acumen with demonstrated experience driving growth and profitability.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
CA/CPA qualified (preferred), with additional credentials such as Financial Planning (AFSL) exposure considered advantageous.
